No. You buy it once. It belongs to you. The local AI variant runs entirely on-device, with no ongoing costs. An optional subscription exists for cloud users who want managed AI access. It is never forced and never hidden.
What happens to my data?
With local AI, everything stays on your device. Nothing leaves your home. With our cloud AI solution, your data stays in your region. We will never analyse its content or use it for advertising.
What can it not do?
A Friend is not trying to be every tool at once. It is not a noisy productivity dashboard, not a general-purpose robot, and not a replacement for human care. It is strongest when you want to speak naturally, return to what mattered, and receive a calm next step back.
Can I change how it looks?

Will it become outdated?
